RAMBAN, Mar 27: Ramban police today claimed to have arrested another absconder who was evading his arrest since long.
Police spokesman said that an absconder namely Mohd Rafiq of Jakheni, Distt Udhampur, who was evading arrest since long, has been apprehended by a team of Chanderkote Police Station.
It's pertinent to mention here that Ramban Police, on the directions of SSP Ramban-Anita Sharma, has launched a special drive against the criminals and those absconding after committing the crime. Today's arrest is a part of the same initiative and is fourth in a month's time by the same Police Station. a
Absconder, who was wanted in a case under FIR No 12/2016 under sections 188 of RPC and 3 PC Act of Police Station Chanderkote, has been produced before the court of Mobile Magistrate, Batote.
Team headed by Inspector Abid Hussain Bhukhari-SHO Chanderkote assisted by HC Bashir Ahmed and Ct Yog Raj made the arrest under the close supervision of Sanjay Parihar-Addl SP Ramban. |
