PM Modi's clean image drives India, DGP Dilbag Singh's corrupt record raises questions
Didn't deserve honour to shoulder coffins of Pulwama martyrs

Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 27: Entire nation, including Jammu region, is pinning hopes on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi as his fight against corruption and war against terror have rattled the enemies within and outside the country.
In Jammu people don't know who the BJP candidates are as they only know one name i.e. Narendra Modi, in 2014 Lok Sabha elections they voted for Modi and they are likely to follow the suit again in 2019 as people know it very well that he (Modi) only can save the country and the Jammu region.
After Jammu and Kashmir was placed under Governor's rule in June last year, super cop K Vijay Kumar, was appointed as Governor's advisor as he is known for his honesty, dedication and integrity. During these nine months he has proved that he is the best.
But many people believe that despite doing everything right, Centre has placed a "wrong person" as the chief of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Dilbag Singh, who has been allegedly involved in various corruption scandals.
"Prime Minister Modi kept his word by avenging the martyrdom of 40 CRPF jawans killed in Pulwama terror attack but unfortunately the man (DGP Singh) who shouldered the coffins of these martyrs did not deserve this honour due to his involvement in various corruption scandals," said an analyst.
He said that such officers don't deserve to be on the top position and should be shown the door. "PM Modi during his five year tenure has followed the principle of na khaunga---na khanay donga. Despite that a corrupt police officer, who during his entire career has followed the principle of lain-dain is the DGP of the sensitive state like J&K," he added.
