Jammu, Mar 27: On the directions of District Electoral Officer Jammu, the District SVEEP Team organised Unveiling Election Programme in Government Degree College Bishnah.
The event was organized in collaboration with College Electoral Literacy Club in which a large number of students participated. The member of the District SVEEP Team discussed at length about the registration of New Voters, importance of participating in electoral process, transparent and ethical voting including awareness about use of EVM and VVPATs.
A nukadd natak on ethical voting was also performed and participants also took National Pledge. The Principal of the College Prof. Kuldeep Singh Koushal, in his address laid stress on Students / young Voters to take active part in voting to strengthen the World's largest democracy and make voting accessible by extending helping hand to persons with disability as well as old age voters. A poster making competition also organized by the Electoral Literacy Club of the College in which a large number of students participated . |
