Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 30: Seeking mass support for its Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat, Raman Bhalla, top leaders of party today organized workers' meeting at Marh.
The meeting was also addressed by G.A Mir (J&K PCC President), Raman Bhalla (Lok Sabha Candidate), Tara Chand (Ex-Deputy CM), Mula Ram (Ex-Minister), Ajay Sadotra (Ex-Minister) and Thakur Balwan Singh (Ex-MLA) Gen Secretary PCC.
While addressing a Congress worker's meeting of Marh Assembly Constituency at Marh, Senior Congress leader Thakur Balwan Singh lashed out at BJP for launching a misleading campaign about the national security and charged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his party leaders giving a false impression that "Nation is secure is in their hands."
Balwan Singh who was speaking at an election rally just few kms away from where Modi declared on Thursday that that the nation is secure under him as Prime Minister , questioned that if it is so, : why the soldiers are dying on the Line of Control at the hands of the Pakistani army ." "If Balakot air strike has put Pakistan in fear of Modi as Prime Minister, let me ask him that why body bags of our soldiers are going to their homes ? Terrorism is a big problem and it has not been resolved as yet. We are vulnerable ," he said and asked Modi to re-assess his version of the national security.
Addressing a rally in support of Congress candidate for Jammu Lok Sabha seat in Marh, Balwan Singh said the " fact is that the soldiers and civilians ae dying on LoC . The civilian's lives are unsettled. They are unable to do their work and children cannot go to schools because they are being shelled by Pakistan army."
He said it is nothing but acute failure of the BJP government at the Centre.
Balwan Singh also asked Modi and other BJP leaders not to hide behind the clichés but should tell the nation have they delivered on their promises made in their manifesto. "Their report card is dismal," he said and demanded to know what about the refugees . " What has been done this class that has been suffering for long". "The BJP made big promises to settle their claims and rehabilitate them on permanent basis.
The refugees are still living with never-ending miseries in their life," he said and asked " BJP must come clean on this. The others who participated included Lala Devi Dass, Ashwani Sharma, Saudagar Singh Saini, Dr.Bansi Lal, Ashok Bhagat, Jagdish Raj Bhagat, Santosh Singh, Swarna Devi, Capt. Ghasita Ram, Capt.Rattan Singh.
