| Took Courageous Decision For Bringing J&K Back On Rails | | SHAH FAESAL - A MESSIAH | | R.B.SURI | 4/2/2019 9:12:30 PM |
| Really, the people of the state of Jammu and Kashmir are indebted to the Almighty who has sent Shah Faesal - a top ranking IAS officer as - A Messiah for bringing the state out of the present turmoil. Having resigned from the top Indian Government services as an IAS officer in January this year, the former IAS officer Shah Faesal launched his party, J&K Peoples' Movement (JKPM) on March 17 at Srinagar and promised an "end to corrupt system and work towards a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir issue." He made the Abdullahs and the Muftis responsible for the present ugly situation prevailing in the Kashmir valley. From his body chemistry, it looks that he is quite confidant and optimistic in his noble mission. On launching his organization. he quoted that "I have no magic wand to resolve the Kashmir issue. It's a long drawn struggle. The issue should be resolved peacefully and in a dignified way, as per the aspirations of people of J&K. I want to become a facilitator and a bridge to reduce the distance between Delhi and Islamabad [for talks]." With in a fortnight after having launched his party- Jammu and Kashmir People's Movement on March 17 in Srinagar, Shah Faesal visited Jammu and organized a public meeting at Ritz, Chhani Himmat on March 31 which was attended by the hundreds of leading people of Jammu region in which the young, smart and highly educated youth in large numbers participated. I also participated in the same as I got the message from him for the participation and had the interactions with him for which I were eager to. While addressing the gathering over there Dr. Shah Faesal stated that there was an urgent need of a regime of justice and quality in all the three regions of the State. In the public meeting held at Jammu after framing new political movement party, Shah Faesal while underlining the need for reimagining the politics in the state further stated that the basic amenities in the regions like Ladakh, Chenab belt and other parts of the Jammu division need to be ensured. There should be a regime of justice and equality in which all the three regions of the state will feel empowered. Dr. Faesal apprised the gathering that the JKPM is going to work on interregional connectivity between the three regions of the state. The focus will be on the creation of alternative routes and tunnels for Leh Ladakh region in which Zojila tunnel will be a topmost priority for him. Other priorities will be for taking the transmission line, creating Job opportunities and establishing a giving a high- tech university in Leh -Ladakh will be ensured. Speaking about Jammu, he stated that Jammu region too, needs special attention. Dr. Faesal stated that Jammu is stable in terms of law and order but we have not been able to create adequate employment opportunities and even the scale of industrial development has been very low. We need to create special industrial development zones in Jammu region. Pir Panchal and Chenab Valley regions have special developmental needs and these regions deserve special attention. While hitting out PDP and NC, he stressed for the need for reaching out in Kashmir, and stated that we have witnessed a double speak politics since ages where politicians say one thing in Kashmir and another thing in Jammu and that is the reason for the failure of mainstream politics. Dr.Faesal was of the view that there is a need for reviving the bonds of brotherhood and interdependencies between the regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh on the basis of trade and business so that the divide between these regions can be abridged. He further emphasized for the need of active public participation at large for taking the message of JKPM so that the new vision can be implemented. This was an impressive show as the young youths who were conducting the event were quite talented as they joined Shah Faesal in this pious mission after having left their services and pledged to contribute along with him in this noble cause. Thousands of educated youth who see a ray of hope in Shah Faesal's endeavor and positive approach are coming openly in support of him for the success of the newly launched party by him. In the Sunday evening as per his directions, I visited his Govt. Quarter in Gandhinagar and interacted with Shah Faesal in connection with this noble mission and offered him the all out support for the success of his movement for putting the state of Jammu and Kashmir on the rails once again in respect of the development and the prosperity. He welcomed it and sought my guidance on this score. At the same time, I requested him to have a whirlwind tour of the entire Jammu regionsoon- Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Doda, Udhampur, Ramban, Kishtwar, Rajouri and Poonch. The people of these areas are interested to see and meet him with eagerness and want to contribute in this regard. He was affirmative indeed. Shortly Shah Faesal would be visiting these areas soon and will be motivating the people at large to join him to get rid of the dynastic rules of Abdullah and Muftis from the state. It has been observed with concern that after seeing the positive response of the people of the Jammu region (who were dominated by the other political parties in the state, the leaders of the same get frustrated and started feeling perturbed by the 6 5rnoble mission of Shah Faesal) are expressing their eagerness to join him in this noble cause. Sajad Ghani Lone is also making the drama as he is always at the back and call of the Bhartiya Janta Party in the state considering Narender Modi as his elder brother as because of him only, he was given the Cabinet berth from the Bhartiya Janta Party quota in the Coalition Government led by Mehbooba Mufti. At the same time, he is quite busy in making the permutations and the combination for forming the 'Third Front' in the state of Jammu and Kashmir against the dynastic rules of Abdullahs and the Muftis. Feeling totally exhausted and disgusted from the state politics, Mehbooba Mufti and Dr. Farooq Abdullah have decided to contest the Lok Sabha elections this time from Anantnag and Srinagar Lok Sabha seats respectively which they have represented in the past also. Because of the successive state Governments of Abdullahs and Muftis in the past, the state has reached to this volcanic stage. They have made Kashmir as a mess . After 1987, Jammu and Kashmir never remained stable and there always remained the uncertainty and almost total lawlessness as prevailed therein the state. All over quagmire existed and is still on thereby leaving no scope for the stability and development of the state . The militants outfits and the separatists are very much busy in destroying the peaceful atmosphere in the valley particularly at the behest of the neighboring country. J&K has become a quagmire of all this non sense. How long it will go as it is ? It is a serious matter for all of us in this country .
Dr. Faesal acted swiftly based upon the old proverb "Stitch in time saves nine". Sensing the problem of Kashmir felt that still there is a time to act upon very swiftly in order to avoid the situation to go into worst scenario from where there will not be any point of return so easily. It is the high time to take the precautionary measures without any further delay. Time and tide wait for none. Again this another proverb which substantiate the issue involved, Dr. Faesal started his noble mission in the state for bringing the state on the rails once again as also for clinching the issue of Kashmir at the earliest possible. Now the youths of the state have started joining him also joining him for the success of his mission. Pakistan.Hurriayat is giving the calls of shut down almost everyday throughout Srinagar and all over the valley, the people are coming out from their houses and participating in the protests and demonstrations actively.
It is a hard fact of life that there exists the best talent in the valley as the youth of the valley are very intelligent and sharp in their aptitudes. It has been seen in the past they made the dent in the country's competition examinations history in which one of them scaled the top rank 1 in IAS in the Civil Services Examination,2010. He is Dr. Faesal. It was learnt painfully that his family remained the victim of the ongoing militancy in the valley as his father was killed by the militants in 2002 when Shah Faesal was just 17 years. It is worth mentioning over here that he is from a family of the educationists. His parents and the grand parents were the government teachers. Despite of the great hurdles and the difficulties, he succeeded remarkably in reaching to the top IAS cadre having remained as the No.I in the overall merit list in 2010. Having served the state just for 9 years,suddenly he resigned from the prestigious post of an IAS officer and started thinking for doing something novel for the state as he was feeling suffocation while remaining in the State administration. Since he was having a great 'TARHP' and enthusiasm for the well being of the people of the state. It was quite painful for him to see the daily killings of the innocent people at the hands of the militants and the security forces in the valley. Since Shah Feasal is quite competent and pro India to visualize the things in the right earnest, he should make it crystal clear that his People's Movement Organization will not be a Kashmir centric political party in this sensitive state. It will be because of this reason only, he will get the tremendous response and support from the people of the Jammu region in comparison to the valley masses in the forth coming Assembly elections in the state. Certainly a highness would prevail and his mission will be a great success in the days to come. |
