Horizon Club, KCCC register wins in Winter Shield T20 Cup

JAMMU, Apr 3: Horizon Club Samba & KCCC Jammu registered win against their opponents and entered in the Quarter Final stage in the ongoing Winter Shield T20 Cup which is being organized SCA, J&K Sports Council under the supervision of Dr. Naseem Choudhary, Secretary J&K Sports Council.
The slogan of the tournament is "lets' play together and enjoy T20 Cricket". And the main objective engage youths and students in sports so that they may not derail from the main stream and to provide a professional platform to them to show case their hidden skills.
In todays' first match Horizon Club defeated Vishal Cricket Club by 33 runs. Batting first Horizon Club scored 141 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs wherein Vishal Akhil 58, Majid 22 and Gourav 20 runs were the main scorers. From the bowling side Sandesh took 3 each while Rajesh Gill, Ramandeep Singh, Rakesh Koul and Rohit took 1 wicket each.
In reply Vishal Cricket Club could not chased the target and managed to score 108 runs in 17.1 overs for the loss of all wickets thus lost the match by 33 runs. Jagteshwer Singh 28 runs, Asif 15 and Rajesh Gill 10 runs were the main scorers. From bowling side Sohib took 3 wickets, Ashish Singh and Gourav took 2 wickets each while Brijesh and Sachin took 1 wicket each. Akhil was declared man of the match.
In second match KCCC defeated Kathua Club by 6 wickets.
Batting first Kathua Club scored 141 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Jatinder 55 runs, Vijay 21 runs and Mujamil runs were the main scorers. From the bowling side Vishal took 2 wickets while Manil and Sahil took 1 wicket each .
In reply KCCC chased the target and made 142 runs for all in 14.2 overs for the loss of 4 wickets thus won the match by 6 wickets. Sahil 76 runs, Suransh 25 and Bandeep Singh 15 runs were the main scorers. From Bowling Side Abhinandan, Kaka, Sanjay and Sheetal took 1 wicket. Sahil was declare man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Vijay, Dayal and Ashok Kumar.
Tomm fixture: First match between Diamond Cricket Club and Samar Cricket Club at 9.30 am, Second match between JCC and Singh Akhnoor 1.30 pm.
