ASKPC organises Zang Trai, Navreh Milan
4/8/2019 9:28:12 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 8: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) organised Zang Trai & Navreh Milan for exiled community members today, was marked with gaiety & the Kashmiri Pandit New Year was heralded with prayers for peace, prosperity and dignity for the community.
Addressing a large gathering, President ASKPC, Advocate Ravinder Raina hoped that the New Year would usher in peace & brotherhood in the beleaguered State which could pave the way for a dignified return of the Kashmiri Pandit community to the valley.
Reflecting on the outreach of ASKPC towards the community issues, he said that ASKPC has taken a strong stand against the repeated approach of the Govt. on the cumbersome process of exercising franchise by the displaced community.
He said the election process is meaningless for the community and an insult to their democratic rights as the very so called mainstream political parties that facilitated their exodus are contesting in their constituencies in the valley and in such a scenario democratic rights of the exiled community shall in no way be protected nor strengthened. President ASKPC reiterated his demand for constituency in exile for the displaced community.
On the auspicious occasion, ASKPC established Ati Vishist Community Seva Pandit Kashyap Bandhu Gorav Samman for the members of the community who have rendered selfless services in all fields of life for the betterment of Kashmiri Pandits and have provided opportunity for the community to hold their heads high with pride with their deeds.
Chief Guest Padam Prof. K.N.Pandita along with Guest of Honour Vijay Bakaya Ex-MLC/Ex Chief Secretary and M.L.Raina Ex Relief Commissioner and ASKPC Executive Body honoured the following community stalwarts with the 2019 Ati Vishist Community Seva Pandit Kashyap Bandhu Gorav Samman.
