Modi remained as the champion
Indian political cup
R.B. Suri6/1/2019 10:44:02 PM
This time, there was a hope that the Prime Minister of India Narender Modi would face a big challenge from his opponents in the Lok Sabha elections-2019. Due to the fact that the opposition was being totally divided, it could not be able to give the befitting reply to the BJP brigade across the country. Also there was a feeling that in UP, the Mahagathbandhan of SP and BSP would not allow the BJP to fetch more than 20 MP seats but this was not materialized. The Mahagathbandhan of SP and BSP got a big blow as it could not secure even 16 MP seats as against 56 shown in the Exit Polls telecasted by the various news channels. This happened actually because of the fact that INC and the Mahagathbandhan kept at distance with each other due to their egos conflicts at the very cost of the electorates. As per the results of the Lok Sabha Polls-2019 declared by the ECI, the final position emerged as under :-
NDA - 353 MP seats
UPA - 86 MP seats
Others - 103 MP seats
Narender Modi was invited by the President of India for the formation of the next government at the Center based on the results of the Lok Sabha elections held in the country in seven phases announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI).
Narender Modi has formed the government in the Center for another five years as the Oath Ceremony was held on 30 May at New Delhi as after having been elected as the leader of the NDA in Lok Sabha in a meeting of the newly elected MPs held on Saturday last in the Central Hall of the Lok Sabha, Narender Modi had staked the claim for forming the government at the Center for another five years. Amongst all other heads of the various nations ( minus Pakistan) and the distinguished political and Corporate personalities of the country, INC Patron Sonia Gandhi, Former Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh , INC Chief Rahul Gandhi graced the Oath Ceremony of the PM Modi and his cabinet colleagues by their presence at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi on May 30. The former Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had already told the Prime Minister Narender Modi that owing to his ill health he would not be able to contribute this time. Sushma Sawaraj, Maenka Gandhi, JP Nadda, Suresh Prabhu, Annant Kumar, Ram Kirpal Yadav, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and some others have been dropped from the Union Cabinet. The portfolios allotted by the Prime Minister Narender Modi to the Ministers of his cabinet on May 31 have stunned the people of the country and in fact they feel jubilant on this score. Amit Shah by having the Home portfolio now stands at No. 2 in Modi's cabinet whereas Rajnath Singh has gone down at serial no. 3 from No.2. The people of the country are welcoming the PM Modi who accommodated 2 retired officers of the IFS cadre - Hardeep Singh Puri and S. Jayashankar and allotted them the portfolios of Housing Ministry and Foreign Ministry respectively despite of the fact that both have lost the Lok Sabha elections. While taking them as the Cabinet Ministers, their wisdom, expertise and the experience have been kept in view in the very interests of the nation. It is important to mention here that 25 MPs from the Muslim community of the country have also made their entry into the Lok Sabha by contesting the elections successfully which is very fortunate as it has proved that India is a secular nation in this World. Sidelining the issues of public importance totally which include the prevailing of the pitiable conditions of the farming community, High Inflation, Bad impact of the GST, Unemployment of the youth ( skilled and unskilled), the PM Modi being wise enough had raised the issue of 'Rashtravad' and 'Threat to the Country's Integrity and the Sovereignty' from Pakistan before the general public during the election campaign and the rallies and en cashed the Pulwama attack in which more than 44 soldiers were killed, followed by the Air Surgical Strikes in Bakakote (inside Pakistan) killing more than 300 terrorists and their commanders besides their trainers on spot. Over these two major issues, PM Modi, Amit Shah and other leaders of the BJP stood as a rock and remained successful in winning the confidence of the people of India to vote for them in this hour of crisis facing the nation so as to enable them more on the country's Integrity and the Sovereignty and ultimately secured 353 MP seats in the Lok Sabha which is considered as the landslide victory in the elections. Violence in West Bengal and UP against their party went in their favour from where the BJP could win 80 MP seats if taken togother. Needless to mention here that for some time Baba Ram Dev took part in the poll campaign of the BJP asking the people and his disciples to vote for the BJP but did not speak a word about bringing back of the black money kept by the rich Indians and the members of the big Corporate abroad in the foreign banks thereby evading the Income tax laws of the land. Similarly same was the case with Anna Hazzare who did not utter a single word against the Modi government at the Center. This duo took the nation at ransom before the Lok Sabha elections in 2014 and organized the big rallies at Ram Lila Maidan in New Delhi against Dr. Manmohan Singh's government. BJP and NDA have broken their records of Lok Sabha elections - 2014 thereby securing the 303 and 353 MP seats out of the house of 542 finally constituting 65.1 % of the total strength of the Lok Sabha. On the contrary, INC and UPA have failed to improve their strength in the in Lok Sabha this time too. Priyanaka Gandhi too could not make any dent in the country's politics. There is no doubt that Priyanka Gandhi attracted the large gatherings in the road shows and the election campaign meetings but could not be able to convert into votes. INC being the century old played a very poor show in getting the number as 51 only resulting which the PM Modi remained as the "Champion of the Indian Political Cup". His main opponent could secure only 86. The Mahagathbandhan of SP and BSP remained as the flop show as it could fetch the 15 MP seats only in UP. Mahagathbandhan of SP and BSP and the INC fought the elections individually and that was the great mistake done by the political parties and in fact, this made the way for the NDA to secure more seats in comparison to UPA. With regaining of the power once again at the Center by the Prime Minister Narender Modi, the leadership of almost all the political parties across the country have accepted the People's verdict of the Lok Sabha elections with heavy hearts as also there is a sharp hulchul in every political parties rather a Revolt against the leadership and there are reports that the heads of these political parties are tendering their resignations from their posts. Raj Babar of the INC UP , Kamal Nath of MP INC and the President of the INC Rahul Gandhi have already tendered their resignations from their respective posts. They are blaming each other over their non performances in the Lok Sabha elections. Rahul Gandhi has alleged that the Chief Ministers of his party in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh have not played their properly but rather instead of doing the party work they preferred towards their sons which according to him was the great mistake on their part. Done is done and it cannot be undone. In view of this, there is no other option for the political parties but to reconsolidate their efforts in improving their workings. It is pertinent to mention here that the MLAs and Councilors of the TMC led by the Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamta Banerji have already left the TMC and joined the BJP after the debacle of their party. Also there is a revolt in RJD where the voices of resentments have been noticed against the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejasavi Yadav about his role in the recently held Lok Sabha elections. The challenging tasks before the Modi government would be as under :-
1. Announcing of the special schemes for the farming community.
2. Announcing of the crash employment for the unemployed youth (skilled and unskilled) of the nation on war footings.
3. Allowing Ram Mandir construction in Ayodhia in UP.
4. Granting of simple and reduced rates of GST slabs.
5. Starting of a constructive Dialogue Process with Pakistan to defuse the Kashmir tangle.
6. Removal of AFSPA from the Kashmir valley to create the congenial atmosphere for conducting of the J&K Legislative elections in the state in November this year.
7. Getting of the Permanent seat in the Security Council of the UNO.
8. Raising of the GDP of the country and controlling of the high inflation in the country.
9. Restoring of the status of the Constitutional Bodies in the country and
10. Bringing of the black money of the rich Indians and the big Corporate families kept in the foreign Banks abroad back to India for its ploughing back for the overall development of the nation.
Three months earlier, the American Magazine - TIME which termed PM Narender Modi as the "DIVIDER IN CHIEF" in the cover story of its issue along with the photo of the Prime Minister. It had been mentioned in the said magazine that PM Modi had remained as the total failure on all the fronts resulting which the unity of the country is endangered. Now while taking a U - TURN in a recent issue of the same magazine has described Narender Modi as the real builder of India as his party BJP + has shown the magic results in achieving the strength of 353 MPs in the Lok Sabha the results of the Loksabha were declared on May 23 by the ECI. In order to show the credentials of the NDA, the Prime Minster Narender Modi would work on the war footings particularly in respect of the Kissans and the Unemployed youth of the nation whose future is stake very much. It is likely that Modi government will provide the financial assistance to the farmers of the country more than the amount as committed in the Manifesto of the BJP. Instead of Rs. 2000 thrice in a year, the amount may be enhanced to Rs.4000 for each quarter of the year. A crash employment programme for the unemployed youth of the nation is likely to be initiated without any further delay and controlling of the Inflation of course. In case the Pakistan authorities show some serious concerns over the ceasefire violations and the terrorists, Narender Modi may initiate a Dialogue process to reach out at an amicable settlement of the Kashmir problem which is pending since many decades. A total review of all the schemes and the welfare programmes initiated by his government during 2014-2019 would be made by him in plugging the various loopholes due to which the results are not coming properly. Also it is expected that Narender Modi would seek the clean chit from the Apex Court for setteling the issue of Ram Mandir construction at Ayodhia in UP out of court settlement thereby taking the various Muslim organizations into confidence so that secular fabric of the country remains very much intact. Since Narender enjoys the massive mandate of the people of the country, this time he would remain successful on this score. By the allotment of the portfolios to Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, Modi has tried to give the signal to the Kashmir centric leaders and the Separatists in the valley that they will not be spared if they would try to further vitiate the atmosphere in the valley come what may. Now it is up to them to analyze the situation in the right perspective. Let's hope for the best.([email protected])
