| Huge cache of Codeine Phosphate, capsules Seized, Drug peddler arrested | | |

Jammu, June 13: Steering its Campaign against the drug menace in the society, Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police along with sleuths of Police station Majalta achieved a major success by recovering huge quantity of Psychotropic drugs at Majalta District Udhampur which was illegally smuggled in a Vehicle (LP Truck) No. JK05-H0244 at Majalta of district Udhampur this evening.
Reports revealed that SOG Jammu laid a special naka at Majalta with the sleuths of PS Majalta . A truck bearing registration No. JK05-H0244 was intercepted and cops detained the driver who was smuggling the above contraband in the truck. The accused have been identified as Driver & Owner : Farooq Ahmad Lone son of Abdul Ahad Lone resident of Village - Sadpora, Rafiabad, Tehsil - Rohama District - Baramulla Police Station - Watergam, RafiabadDistrict -Baramulla.
A case under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at PS Majalta.
The whole exercise was closely monitored by SSP SOG Jammu Sandeep Mehta- JKPS and was carried out under the supervision of SSP Udhampur Rajiv Pandey-IPS.PMC/ZPHQ/ 27/06/2019. |
