| Div Com reviews land acquisition, compensation cases | | |

JAMMU, June 14: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, today convened a meeting with officers of Revenue department to review progress on land acquisition and compensation cases.
The meeting was attended by concerned Sub Divisional Magistrates of District Jammu and Tehsildars while Deputy Commissioners of Kathua, Samba and Jammu along with other concerned officers attended the meeting through video conferencing. The Deputy Commissioners apprised the Div Com of the case wise progress of all land related issues of the project. They further informed about the number of final awards issued so far and number of cases pending in their respective districts.
The Div Com also sought the details of compensation amount disbursement among the land owners whose land has been occupied under the project. The DCs informed about the amount disbursed so far in their respective districts. The Div Com directed the Deputy Commissioners to resolve the remaining land issues and ensure early issuance of final awards and disburse the compensation amount to the beneficiaries. |
