| Dy Mayor visits Ward No 37, inspects sanitation, other amenities | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 21: Deputy Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation, Purnima Sharma today visited Ward No 37 of Janipur Colony accompanied by the Councilor of the Ward Sunita Gupta and other prominent residents of the respective ward were also present.
The Deputy Mayor visited various parks in the ward and suggested various ideas for their beautification. She advocated provision of open gym at parks for the welfare of local public and identified various sites for the construction of Sulabh Sochalayas in the ward for the welfare of local shopkeepers and public. During the inspection, Deputy Mayor noticed that the sanitation condition was not proper while many problems being faced by locals of the ward also came to fore. Deputy Mayor witnessed that the condition of roads in the area is worse as the ongoing sewerage work is getting delayed thereby causing nuisance to the general public. Lanes and drains are also in worst condition. Deputy Mayor also took stock of the various problems faced by the general public. The Deputy Mayor directed the concerned officials of Jammu Municipal Corporation on spot to sort out the grievances of the public on war footing. |
