Early Times Report

Poonch, July 26: Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) Mandi has two CDPOs on single chair which exposes the carelessness of the department.
According to the sources, the legal CDPO was on four day training and one week leave, during which another CDPO under the influence of a political leader joined Mandi as CDPO. Sources informed that, the new self styled leader is just a supervisor in Anganwadi project who has been given the charge of CDPO Mandi. The said Anganwadi supervisor is the real sister of a former legislator and is a known back door appointee eying a gazted post. The first CDPO, who was on leave has taken stay over the chair and filed writ petition against Commissioner cum secretary J&K government, State Mission Director ICDS Srinagar/Jammu, District Program Officer Poonch and I/C CDPO Mandi. Sources from office informed that, Anganwadi supervisors, workers are deprived as both the officer and I/C officer has started their works in office and field. It is tragedy that self styled CDPO is not following the order of Honourable High Court and working under the political influence.
Deputy Commissioner Poonch Rahul Yadav isaid, "the order of Honourable High Court must be followed".
He assured to take the matter seriously and sought out. Locals, employees of ICDS Mandi have appealed to governor Satya Pal Malik and Commissioner cum Secretary government of Jammu and Kashmir to take cognizance and take appropriate necessary action and saught out the matter at priority basis.
