International Nagar Kirtan welcomed at Lakhanpur

Jammu, Aug 5: Sikh Sangat of Jammu & Kashmir welcomed the historic international Nagar Kirtan at Lakhanpur Jammu on 5th of August 2019 at 6.00 a.m. which has been started from Nankana Sahib Pakistan the birth place of Guru Nanak Devi Ji.
On the occasion of 550th Birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Devi Ji, the present living generation is truly blessed as it is during their lifetime that 550th birth anniversary of Baba Nanak is being celebrated and they should whole heartedly submit themselves to the Sikh philosophy espoused by the first guru. To show their respects and commitment to the path shown by guru ji. The international Nagar Kirtan proceeded from Lakhanpur to Jammu under the supervision of Shri Mahanat Manjeet Singh Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch Sant Tejwant Singh Ji Sant Pura Dana. Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee Amritsar, various Sikh organizations of J&K, The Sikh United Front J&K, Shiromani Akali Dal, Sikh Istri Akali Dal, Sikh Student Federation, Bhai Kanaya Nishkam Sewa Society, Sikh Welfare Society, Sikh Naujwan Sabha, Shiromani Youth Akali Dal, All District Gurdwara Prabandhak Committees of Jammu Province, All Local Gurdwara Committee along with Sangat participated the International Nagar Kirtan. The peoples from all walks of life gathered along the roadside at various points and welcome the Nagar Kirtan. The sangat was chanting the slogan with religious fervor and gaiety like "Nanak Nam Chardi Kala Tere Bhane Sarbat Da Bhala" and "Kal Taran Guru Nanak Aya". The stall were also installed at various places. The peoples were showering flowers on Palki Sahib along the roadside. The political leaders from all the political parties also participated the Nagar Kirtan. The Nagar Kirtan culminated at Gurdwara Gurdwara Fateh Singh Gandhi Nagar Jammu. It has been unanimously prayed for the welfare of the humanity as well as cordial relation between India and Pakistan. It is historical event that after partition in 1947 the peoples of two countries met each other in cordial atmosphere due to the positive initiatives of Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan.
