| Chief Engineer PHE visits Reasi, assesses damage to infra due to floods, landslides | | |

JAMMU, Aug 9: Chief Engineer PHE Department Jammu Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Chadha alongwith his Technical Support Team toured Katra and Reasi area under the jurisdiction of PHE Division Reasi to inspect and assess the damages caused to the PHE infrastructure due to recent flash floods and landslides.
The field staff of Reasi division apprised the Chief Engineer of the damages caused to the PHE infrastructure and related utilities due to floods and landslides. He visited various schemes affected due to recent damages including Nadali, Bhaga, Agar Jitto, Panasa, Gyala (Anji Nalla), Karua, Reasi Town, Ban Ganga and Kundra areas. He directed the concerned to restore water supply to the affected areas on war footing basis under SDRF (State Disaster Relief Fund).
Meanwhile, the Chief Engineer convened a meeting with Deputy Commissioner Reasi who assured all support for restoration of water supply schemes in the district which have been affected by the floods under SDRF. |
