Kishtwar administration warns employees to refrain from politics | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Sept 24: Acting tough against the erring teaching staff of colleges & schools particularly male members with regard to their involvement in political, religious discussions besides indulgeded in launching malicious propaganda towards govt. policies thereby posing threat to communal harmony and peaceful atmosphere of the district today Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, issued an advisory and warned such erring employees to strictly refrain themselves from such unlawful activities. The order reads that," District administration is closely watching the activities of employees in Govt. Departments including the teaching staff of different institutions. And it has come to the notice of DDC that few teaching staff of colleges & schools particularly male members are trying to vitiate the peacefull atmosphere and want to disturb communal harmony of the region. Further, these erring employees instead of performing their duties remain busy in political and religious discussions, besides also keep indulged in launching malicious propaganda towards govt. policies as well as leg puling of other employees without any rhyme and reason. Such unwarrented attitude of government employee tantamount to unbecoming of an officer official and also amount to violation of the J&K CivlI Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules of 1956 read with the J&K Government Employees (Conduct) Rules of 1971 and such employees need to be dealt with iron hands. In view of aforementioned facts, DC Kishtwar directed heads of the college and school institutions to keep close vigil on such individuals / faculty members and report to the office of DC Kishtwar immediately so that strict action as envisaged under law can be taken against delinquent employee (s)- order further reads." |
