| People stage protest against police, revenue department | | |  Early Times Report
Vijaypur, Sept 24: The residents of village Ranjri area of Vijaypur staged strong protest demonstration against revenue and Police department in outside the tehsil office Vijaypur in District Samba. A large number of people of village Ranjri assembled in outside the Tehsil premises, they raised slogan against the officers of the both departments, they alleged that few naughty elements are occupying the land of Shamshan Ghat in village Ranjri and the land on which perform to cremate and villagers also would crematorium the land.
They have alleged that no action has been taken against them people say that when they were prevented from taking possession, it was upside down and the occupier struck with a sharp weapon.
The same Mohan Lal and his wife denied the charge and said that the land which is Khasra number 585 is our own land and we have been cultivating it for years.
The people of Ranjari village also demonstrated on this issue. After receipt the information SHO Vijaypur Chaman Gorkha reached on the spot and pacify the protester and said we will investigate the matter and then strict action will be taken against that person who were occupying on the land. After assurance of SHO Vijaypur Chaman Gorkha, People ended their protest. |
