Jammu, Oct 5: Army Public School Damana hosted Sahodaya Schools Complex Jammu Chapter Science Exhibition on 5 Oct '2019. The Science Exhibition christened as ' Vidvattva -Science For People'aims to cater to the collaborative educational innovativeness and to encourage students to participate in regional as well as National Level.
The programme commenced with lighting the ceremonial lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Col Maheshwar Singh Deputy Commander 19 Inf Bde and Jury members- Dr Asha Choubey Scientist IIIM, Dr Sanjeev Anand Professor SMVDU, Dr Dev Raj Mukherji Scientist IIIM, Pushpinder Kaur Principal APS Damana , Mrs Shallu Kapoor Vice Principal of the school and escort teachers. 20 CBSE schools from Jammu region presented their exhibits under the four sub-themes displaying an array of projects conceived by the young minds. Young scientists from various schools showcased static and working models which are of immense use for learning various scientific concepts for society.
Pushpinder Kaur Principal APS Damana also addressed the gathering . During her address to the students , Kaur motivated the students to be the saviours and care takers of this unique planet earth. She inspired the children to be innovative in their ideas in the future also and leave an indelible imprint for the future policy makers to follow.
Jammu Sanskriti School acclaimed First Position for their exhibit Electromagnetic Train ,Army Public School Damana bagged Second Position for Intelligent Controller and Army Public School Nagrota secured Third Position for Sustainable Village. During Prize distribution ceremony, the Chief Guest felicitated the winners of the event with the trophies and the certificates of appreciation . The Chief Guest complemented the School Management for the successful conduct of the event and inspired the students to ideate and innovate. The programme concluded with the singing of National Anthem followed by light refreshment. In a nut shell, the experience was enriching for one and all.
