Ram Madhav's football diplomacy raises many eye-brows
12/29/2019 11:47:00 PM

Jammu, Dec 29: Unscheduled visit of BJP's point-man in J&K Ram Madhav's visit to Jammu and Srinagar has raised many eye-brows because he visited both the capital cities without informing local party leaders. Ram Madhav reached Srinagar on Thursday and arrived at Jammu on Friday.
Credible sources said that none of the BJP leaders were aware of the visit of Ram Madhav and all of them surprised when they got information about his visit. "It appears that there is no communication with local unit of BJP with high command", sources said.
Ram Madhav claimed at Srinagar that he came especially to watch football match of Real Kashmir but aim of his visit was entirely different because on the same day when he landed at Srinagar no confidence motion was moved against Srinagar Municipal Corporation Mayor Junaid Mattoo.
Credible sources said that match was an excuse but Madhav was on a big mission to Srinagar where he was trying to open channel of communication with some main stream politicians who have shown their eagerness to start dialogue with the Centre.
At Srinagar Ram Madhav stated that being a fan of Real Kashmir he came especially to watch match of his team.
Credible sources further said that a group within BJP has floated the idea of mobilize like-minded main stream politicians of Kashmir Valley who wanted to engage in dialogue process. Services of these politicians would be utilized to start political activities in Kashmir Valley before announcement of District Development Council elections in the State.
Similarly, Ram Madhav reached Jammu on unscheduled visit on Friday to play his role in the selection of BJP president.
