Shaheen Bagh Or Shatani Bagh
Omkar Dattatray2/5/2020 10:13:05 PM
Ah, Shaheen Bagh has turned into Shatani Bagh thanks to the narrow and selfish politicians and their role in fomenting trouble at shaheen Bagh and making the situation volcanic which can explode at any time. For more than forty eight days the place has been turned into a din for protests against CAA. The right to differ and protest is the fundamental and basic right in a democracy and it should not be stifled at any cost. The right to protest is the cardinal principle of a democracy but the way different political parties are spewing venom and turning the place into battle ground is very disturbing and unfortunate. All routine activities have come to a grinding halt and the area has been turned into a place for making and wowing conspiracies against the very idea of India. One fails to understand that the protesters are stoking communal passions and creating disharmony and that too while holding tricolour and this creates confusion in the people. Hatred and division in the society is being created under the garb of dissent and the right of protest. On the face the protests against the CAA at Shaheen Bagh are democratic but actually under the pretext of protest communal tension is being created and the society is being divided into opposite groups. The slogans of Azadi are being raised and one wonders what azadi the protesters are seeking and demanding and that too while holding the tri-colour. At the same breath the protesters are demanding freedom and raising azadi slogans and holding the tri-color and this causes confusion worse confounded. This way the protesters are deceiving and exploiting the gullible masses and Shaheen Bagh has now turned into a place which witnesses only anti-national slogans. Under the pretext of protesting against the CAA, anti-national atmosphere is being created which is against the unity and integrity of the country. Conspiracies are being hatched to damage and destroy communal amity and secular fabric while blaming the BJP for all this. Minorities especially the Muslims are being exploited and fear psychosis is being created for nothing. The only aim of these forces is division of the people for their narrow interests. The Muslim men ,women and children are being indoctrinated and the seeds of communalism, fundamentalism and sectarianism are sown to divide the volatile society which is very disturbing .The anti national sentiments are passions are being aroused among the people. Anti national sentiments to disturb the peace and tranquillity of Delhi is being hatched in Shaheen Bagh. Congress, AAP, CPIM, Trinamol congress and other political parities lend support to the agitating people at Shaheen Bagh. Loud speakers are being fitted and anti national slogans are raised which has the potential of fomenting the trouble and creating division in the sensitive society. On the face these protests are being held to against the CAA but in reality only anti national activities are being carried in this part of Delhi and political parties as well as the government looking like silent spectators .Yes the citizens have the right to protest in a democratic manner work against but do not have the inborn right to take law in to its hands. The political parties should see reason and not support the people in blind at Shaheen Bagh which has been reduced to a war zone thanks to the direct and indirect support to the public at Shaheen Bagh. How long will the political parties work against the national cohesion and unity is a moot question? Anyway anti national protests are unacceptable and should not be allowed. The Shaheen Bagh protests give credence and oxygen to Tukda Tukda Gang and thus these protests should not be allowed in national interest. In fact the protests in the guise of even holding the national flag has no takers as on cannot be national and anti national at the same time. The people of Delhi are the best judges and they can differentiate between the national and anti national activities.
