Seventy four fresh positive, 54 recovered, seventy nine deaths till date in north Kashmir

BARAMULLA, July 22: Out of 453 positive cases, Seventy four fresh positive cases were reported today, there are 1173 active positive cases, cumulative cases reached over 3168, whereas 54 have recovered and 79 deaths have occurred so far in north Kashmir as on date.
According to the district wise positive cases that are available as on July 22, 2020 (Monday), In Baramulla district, 58 fresh positive cases that were reported today, there has been an increase in the cumulative cases that have gone up to 1709, and active positive cases that stands at 704, and cumulative recovered cases are 948 including 26 as on date, while as 57 deaths, next highest after Srinagar district that have occurred so far in this district.
In Kupwara district, 11 fresh positive cases were reported today, while there is an increase in cumulative cases that have gone up to 976 cases, active positive cases that stands at 363, cumulative recovered are 598 including 10 recoveries as on date and 15 deaths have occurred so far.
In Bandipora district, 05 fresh positive cases reported today, whereas 483 are cumulative cases, 106 are active positive, 370 are cumulative recovered including 18 as on date and 07 deaths have occurred so far.
Decline in the active positive cases are seen in all the three districts of north Kashmir, there are only 106 active positive cases in Bandipora, while 363 cases are in Kupwara and 704 active positive cases are in Baramulla district of north Kashmir.
At a time when the order has been issued for complete lockdown in Kashmir excluding Bandipora, the District Magistrate Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo has also issued an order vide no: 3491-3508 dated 22-07-2020.
All shops business establishments and vendors in the district including towns of Baramulla, Sopore, Pattan, Kunzer, Tangmarag, Kreeri, Wagoora, Uri, Watergam, Rohama and Dangiwacha shall remain closed till July 27/2020, said an order.
It said that there shall be complete restrictions on movement of public transport including Sumo, Taveeras, Auto Rikhshas etc and only authorized private vehicles shall be allowed to move within the district.
However the activities related to agriculture, horticulture and work on developmental projects shall continue as per the SOPs, already notified, reads an order copy, that is lying with ET.
Accordingly the enforcement agencies shall allow the movement of the manpower/staff connected with these activities.
While as Sr Superintendents of police Baramulla/Sopore, concerned SDMS, Thesildars.Naib Thesildars executive magistrate, duty magistrate, SDPOs and SHOs shall ensure strict implementation of restrictions.
