JAMMU, Nov 23: Mahant Datt Giri Ji Maharaj elected unanimously as President of Jammu and Kashmir Shat Darshan Sadhu Samaj Samiti (JKSDAAA) on November 20, 2020 at Samba after the death of previous Samiti President. He further urged upon the Leutitnent Governor Manoj Sinha to retrieve the precious temple land from the clutches of social anti elements and land mafia active across the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory since 1980-90.
Mahant Datt Giri Ji Maharaj alongwith other Samiti members while addressing the press conference at Press Club Jammu alleged that most of the temple lands are under the occupation of so called social anti elements and Land Mafia active in the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory since turmoil in Kashmir valley. He further appealed the Leutitnent Governor Manoj Sinha to personally intervene in the serious issue so that the precious Hindu religious properties belongs to Hindu community should be retrieve from the clutches of land mafia across the Jammu and Kashmir.
He further urged upon the LG to renovate the temples which were damaged by the social anti elements in Kashmir valley since turmoil in Jammu and Kashmir as this initiative had already been taken by the Home Ministry few months ago. “Entire temples in Kashmir valley should be thronged open for general public by recruiting Mahants/sants from the Shat Darshan Sadhu Samaj Samiti which are non-functional due to militancy in Kashmir since 1989-90,” he maintained and added that Samiti has already looking after the affairs regarding management of Hindu religious properties in Jammu and Kashmir.
Sangathan Mantri Mahant Rajesh Giri, Mahant Yogeshwar Nath Mahant Ram Janam Dass Shastri, Mahant Mahadev Giri Ji, Mahant Krishan Bharti Mahant Soham Giri and others were present on occasion.
