Ex MLA starts construction work of deep drains

Jammu, Dec 20: In order to provide streamlined deep drains to the inhabitants of Jammu West, former legislator Sat Sharma (CA) started construction works of covering of Deep Drains (Nullah) in Subash Nagar area of Ward 26.
Sharma was also accompanied by Corporator Hardeep Singh Mankotia, Mandal President Raveesh Mengi, local residents and political activists of the area.
The works will be done under the supervision of UEED (Urban Environmental Engineering Department) at an estimated cost of Rupees 22 lakhs and the funds were provided to the local Corporator for the same works. The areas that will be covered under the works include Subash Nagar behind Navyug School, Opposite Government Quarters and adjoining areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that it was indeed a long pending demand of the residents of the areas as Nullah was not covered from a long time and the same has been met so that a neat and clean environment could be provided to the inhabitants of the ward.
He stated that there are some pending works in the areas as well which includes works of some lanes which will be taken up in coming days. He also stated that power and water scenarios are very much improved in Jammu West and every house has the best service of basic amenities.
Hardeep Singh appreciated the efforts of Former MLA and stated that crores of Rupees were spent on developmental works in the Ward on the recommendation of Former MLA which improved the scenario of basic requirements and many other things which has helped a lot in making Ward 26 as clean ward with modern infra.
Raveesh said that BJP believes on the agenda of “Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas”, and will keep working for the welfare of masses on every front as for BJP, Nation comes always first and every citizen is on the priority.
Mandal Vice President Jatin Gupta, Sudesh Sharma, Sandeep Singh, Pardeep Verma, Pawan Kotwal, S. lucky Singh, HR Sharma and several others were also present.
