4/14/2021 11:46:37 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

Jammu, Apr 14: Although the deadline has expired many officers have yet not hoisted the national flag on the buildings under their jurisdictions.
On March 29 this year, the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha had directed the Divisional Commissioners, District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police of UT to make it sure that the national flag is hoisted on all government buildings and establishments under their jurisdiction.
Accordingly, the Divisional Commissioners of both Jammu and Kashmir divisions have asked all the Deputy Commissioners and Head of Departments (HoD) to implement the Lt Governor’s directive, regarding hoisting of National flag on all the government buildings, within the next 15 days.
The 15 days deadline expired on April 13 but there are still many government buildings where the national flag is yet to be hoisted.
The Deputy Commissioners and HoDs of Jammu Division have been asked to ensure strict compliance with the directions of the Lt Governor as per the provisions of Flag Code of India within 15 days.
To remind the officers of his directions, the Lieutenant Governor, on April 11, has once again directed the officers to hoist the national flag.
Sinha directed the officers to ensure the hoisting of the national flag on all government buildings and establishments under their jurisdiction following proper protocols and laid down procedures.
