Mayor, others kick start development works at Bantalab

Jammu, June 12: Continuing his drive to provide better development & civic amenities to the citizens of Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor JMC alongwith Bali Bhagat former minister of J&K, Narinder Singh Jamwal chairman Health & Sanitation Committee, Kuldeep Singh Chib chairman of social justice committee today kick started the construction of work of culvert/pulley near Radha Swami Satsang Ghar at Keran (Bantalab) Jammu of ward no. 63.
Rajinder Singh Chib Jammu rural Distt President BJP, Pardeep Aggarwal Secretary, Rajesh Anand, Ajay Vaid members of Radha Swami Satsang Ghar & other prominent inhabitants of the locality as well as Rajesh Bhagat Executive Engineer, Rohit Puri Assistant Executive Engineer, Junior Engineer & other supervisory staff of PWD, concerned Junior Engineer of the area as well as contractor were also remained present there during the start of the work.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor said that in every rainy season the nallah flowing from upper side towards the Satsang Ghar overflows & causes havoc in the locality, due to which pedestrians as well as drivers riding on vehicles face great hardships and sometimes get themselves injured due to heavy flow of water coming on the roadside.
He further told that it was the long pending demands of the inhabitants of Bantalab & its surrounding localities as well as management committee of this religious place and due to hectic efforts of the concerned Councillor, this much needed work of construction of pulley measuring about 22 meters length has been started today by the PWD and he also directed the concerned Engineers to get the work completed within stipulated time frame & by applying best quality construction materials for its long durability and hope that after its competition the motorists will pass through the area without any further interruption.
He also appeal to the locals not to throw garbage, wastes, polythenes etc in this nallah to avoid any type of blockage of the water.
