DC Jammu reviews progress of work on Jammu-Akhnoor four-lanning project

JAMMU, June 21: Deputy Commissioner, Anshul Garg today chaired a meeting to review the progress of work on Jammu-Akhnoor National Highway four-lanning project.
SDM Jammu North, SDM Akhnoor representatives of NHAI, NHIDCL and senior officers of other concerned departments were present in the meeting.
The meeting was informed about the progress of work so far and the issue of pending structures, land acquisition and other related issues.
The SDMs informed about the progress achieved, bottlenecks, demolition of pending structures and compensation disbursement in their respective jurisdictions.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the executing agencies to remove the bottlenecks and expedite the pace of work to meet the timelines.
He directed them to complete the work well in time and make the road traffic worthy.
Emphasizing on strict adherence to quality specification and timely completion of the project, the DC directed the concerned departments to work in synergy and ensure regular monitoring of the works.
He also called for maintaining inter-department coordination which is vital for expediting the pace of development works.
