KATHUA, Sept 22: District Development Council (DDC) Kathua Chairman, Col Mahan Singh has said that BJP stands fully committed to provide basic amenities to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He stated this while conducting a Public Darbar at Panchayat Plassi here today.
People raised multiple issues and problems faced by them in the area. The main issues that came to be deliberated during the Darbar included road connectivity, shortage of electricity, inadequate supply of drinking water, health care problem besides the irrigation concerns. The DDC Chairman gave a patient hearing to the demands and issues raised during the Darbar.
Responding to the concerns of the people Col Singh said that road connectivity is hall mark of development in any part of the world and forms an inseparable part of the Prime Minister’s agenda of overall development across the nation. He said that all efforts will be made to improve roads not only in this Panchayat area but in areas across the entire district. He said the BJP government at the Centre is fully committed to provide the basic amenities to the people especially those living in remote and far flung areas.
