Two notorious drug peddlers arrested by Police in Reasi

JAMMU, Sept 26: A team of police station Reasi arrested two notorious drug peddlers and recovered banned drug heroin from their possession. During patrolling duty in Talwara area police team found two persons moving in suspicious circumstances, intercepted & asked them to stop. On noticing police party, accused tried to flee but were arrested after a brief chase.
The accused Tabrez Hussain S/O Mohammad Iqbal R/O ward 7 Reasi and Sajjad Ahmed S/O Abdul Aziz ward 8 Reasi were intercepted and searched. During checking police party recovered banned drug heroin like substance from their possession. On this both the accused arrested in case FIR no 191/2021 US 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act registered at Police Station Reasi against them. Investigations set in to unearth forward and backward linkages in this effort of drug peddling.
Both the accused are notorious drug peddlers of the area and remained involved in supply of drugs to youth of Reasi. Tabrez was arrested in a drug peddling case FIR no 172 US 8/20/21/22 NDPS of Police Station Reasi on 01/09/2021 just four weeks back & bailed was out. History sheet will be opened & accused will be put under constant surveillance while as Sajjad is involved in the business of selling banned drugs and was earlier arrested by Reasi Police on 13/07/2021 in case FIR no 144/2021 U/S 8/15/21/22/27/27-A/29 and 4/25 Arms Act. History sheet of the accused will be opened to keep his ill activities under surveillance.
