Kissan Congress protests inflation, unemployment, farm bills

JAMMU, Sept 26: Under the banner of All J&K Kissan Congress, an anti-government protest was organized at Dablarh Chowk, RS Pura under the leadership of Kisan Congress State Chairman and former Minister Choudhary Garu Ram. The protesters were accusing the government that during the tenure of the BJP government, not only the farmers of the country and the state but also the common people are suffering.
Congress leader and former minister Chaudhary Garu Ram, Youth Congress District President Jammu Rural Neeraj Choudhary, former MP Tarlok Singh Bajwa, Dwarka Choudhary Chief-Whip JMC, Vice President Jammu and Kashmir Jung Bahadur Manhas and others were among the protesters. Expressing concern, Garu Ram said that just as three farm bills passed by the government are not being withdrawn, the price hike of petrol, diesel and cooking gas are not being stopped.
Other prominent persons who were present included Jung Bahadur (Jangu) Vice-chairman J&K, Mohan Lal Kundal District President, Shashi Sharma President Taxi Union, Harbans Singh, Capt Darshan Kumar, Capt Narinder Singh, Thoru Ram Panch, Sher Singh, Dr Manohar Lal, Joginder Singh, Darshan Lal Kundal Panch, Sheela Devi, Satya Devi, Harnaik Singh, Ramnik Singh, Raja, and Kala Singh.
