JAMMU, Nov 7: Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu is conducting a National Painters Camp/ Symposium w.e.f. 12th to 14th November, 2021, at Jammu & Kashmir Tourist Complex at Mansar Lake and Patnitop. Twelve painters from all over the country will participate in this Painters Camp-cum- Symposium. The list of participating artists includes the names of well known artists Sangita Sharma, Thane (Maharashtra), Amita Sharma, Bhopal (MP), Jang S Verman, Jammu (J&K), Dharminder Sharma, Amritsar (Punjab), Sara Syeda, Gurugram (Haryana), Jayanti Patil, Pune (Maharashtra), Dr. Shahzad Qureshi, Rajouri (J&K), O P Sharma, Jammu (J&K), Dr. Mamta Singh, Dehradun (Uttrakhand), K S Gill, Amritsar (Punjab), Tariq Saifi, Surankot (Poonch, J&K) and Anjali Prabhakar, Bhopal (MP). According to OP Sharma, Director JKCCA, the organization is committed to preserve promote and activate the splendid art heritage of the land to unleash the progress of languages, literature and other fine arts, and stimulate and rejuvenate it into a blossoming art movement. He informed that it’s a matter of satisfaction that the organization has been conducting state, national and international art exhibitions and camps, and various programmes on art, culture & languages physically or online, regularly (even during the Covid- 19 Pandemic). The NGO has so far organized a large number of such activities in the state and many cities of the country, including successfully organizing ten International Art Exhibitions in the recent years. |
