NC felicitates Nar Singh for being nominated as Provincial President SCLU Jammu

JAMMU, Nov 15: National Conference Additional General Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal and Provincial President Mr Rattan Lal Gupta Advocate today felicitated Mr Nar Singh, the newly nominated Provincial President State Central Labour Union (SCLU) Jammu.
Expressing solidarity with the workers across Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Mustafa Kamaal exhorted the office bearers to work with missionary spirit for well being and economic emancipation of the skilled and unskilled workers who constitute a significantly substantial part of the society.
The betterment of the workers is betterment of the society, as without them progress and development will remain a distant dream, the Additional General Secretary said, adding that the National Conference being the party of masses has always appreciated this reality and relentlessly fought for the cause of the labour-class besides taking path breaking steps for their socio-economic empowerment. He said empowerment of the labour force remains the guiding force for the party. Speaking on the occasion, Provincial President Mr Rattan Lal Gupta lauded the resilience and fortitude of labourers for their sustained efforts in building Jammu and Kashmir as per the dreams of visionaries, who envisioned a progressive, prosperous and peaceful state. He recalled the party’s relentless campaign over decades for genuine cause of the workforce.
Mr Gupta made a particular mention of interest evinced by Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah for the empowerment of weaker sections especially the labour force and said this continues to be a guiding force for the party. He highlighted the role of the labourers in shaping the public movement in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Labour force are the builders of the nation and the catalyst of socio-economic transformation”, the Provincial President added.
Assuring that he will come up to the expectations of the leadership and the cadre, the Provincial President State Central Labour Union Mr Nar Singh expressed his gratitude for reposing faith in him.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Mr Pardeep Bali, Mr Karan Singh, Mr Rohit Bali, Mr Parshotam, Mr Thoru Ram Mandi, Mr Deep Mehra, Mr Tanveer Babzada, Mr Vinod Tak, Mr R. K Bakashi and others.
