| 'Jan Aushadhi Mitra Sammelan' held at DH Ramban | | | Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Nov 17: Drug and Food Organization, Jammu and Kashmir in coordination with Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendra, Ramban today organized an awareness-cum-demonstration camp as a part of the celebration of National Unity Week, 'Jan Aushadhi Mitra Sammelan' at District Hospital (DH) Ramban.
State Drug Controller, Lotika Khajuria was the chief guest on the occasion.
Chief Medical Officer Ramban Dr Mohammad Fareed, Medical Superintendent Dr Hameed Zargar, Asstt Drug Controller, J&K, Surinder Mohan Tikoo, Asstt Drug Controller Jammu, Reasi Mohd Iqbal Pala, Asstt Drug Controller, Udhampur, Ramban, Ranuka Raina, Drug Inspector Ramban, Imtiyaz Ahmed and pharmacists attended the programme.
Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest said that today's function was organized in connection with the weeklong celebration of National Unity week to commemorate the birth anniversary of Iron man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. She further stated that the State Government prioritizes the health and wellness of the people.
While briefing about quality and efficiency of Generic Medicines of Jan Aushadhi, State Drug Controller impressed upon the Doctors to prescribe medicine available at Janaushadhi Kendra, it will benefit more marginalized and underprivileged families.
Speaking on the occasion, CMO said that availability of medicine in Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendra with affordable prices to the general public is a very good scheme. Jan Aushadhi pharmacy opened at DH Ramban has benefited many people and he also stressed on the need to open Jan Aushadhi pharmacy in other areas of the district. |
