| AYUSH department organises Yoga Camp | | |  Early Times Report
REASI, June 16: In view of 8th International Yoga Day, AYUSH department Reasi on Thursday organized a Yoga Camp at Panchayat Ghar Dhirti (Panthal). The Yoga Camp was organized under the guidance of Director AYUSH J&K Dr. Mohan Singh and Deputy Commissioner, Reasi Babila Rakhwal, while District Nodal Officer AYUSH, Dr. Ravinder Kumar Pandita supervised the event.
The event was the 6th in the series of 7 Iconic Yoga Sessions being held ahead of the 8th International Yoga Day.
Prominent citizens, PRI members and the general public participated in the camp. Dr. Ankita, Medical Officer AHWC Sule along with Vikram Sharma, Junior Pharmacist AHWC Sule with the help of Yoga Instructor Rahul Nargoch demonstrated Yoga asanas and pranayamas beneficial for health.
After the session, a lecture was delivered by Dr. Ankita, Medical Officer regarding benefits of Yoga and asanas.
Dr.Ankita said that the essence of yoga was not just balance within the body or that between the mind and the body, but also balance in the human relationship with the world. "Yoga emphasises the values of mindfulness, moderation, discipline and perseverance when applied to communities and societies, Yoga offers a path for sustainable living" she added. |
