Jammu, July 16: The Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha has rushed to New Delhi for a crucial meeting on Jammu and Kashmir.
The sources said the issue of appointment of new Advisors for JK was also discussed threadbare and that some developments on this front were expected soon.
Highly placed sources said Sinha was camping in Srinagar on July 15 afternoon at Raj Bhawan when he got a call that he should rush to the national capital for a “crucial discussion on Kashmir and that his presence was a must for consultations.”
The sources said Sinha rushed to Delhi by the next flight.
It was reliably learnt that prior to his visit to the national capital one meeting on J&K was already held in the national capital where it was decided to take Sinha into confidence for the future course of action.
A source privy to the developments said “New Delhi is seriously keeping eye on the evolving situation in Jammu and Kashmir especially with regard to the security scenario and the deliverance on good governance.”
Sources said the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have made it clear that security grid needs to be kept at its optimum to foil any nefarious designs of the enemy country whereas the Raj Bhawan was being asked to ensure deliverance of good governance at every level.
The sources said a detailed discussion on the evolving situation in Kashmir was held. “Most of the decisions expected from the meeting in the coming days will be about the deliverance of good governance for which adequate measures are being taken,” said the source in the know of the developments.
The sources said the need for procurement of “specialized radar system” on the treks to the Shri Amarnath Ji Cave Shrine for deliverance “even more secured facilities to the Yatris was also discussed.”
Sources said another few rounds of talks were likely to be held in the national capital before the LG flies back to the Union Territory.
