Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 3: The soldier is always ready to sacrifice his life, while defending the motherland.
Soldiers have unflinching loyalty towards the country and deep faith that his family will be looked after by the countrymen, in case he is dead, while doing his duty. To express their solidarity with the families, Inner Wheel Club Jammu Tawi decided to join hands with another NGO, NCCHWO, who has initiated a Pilot project to support Veer Naris . In J&K a programme has been started where citizens adopt the families of Martyrs. The widows of Martyrs are respectfully addressed as Veer Naris. Such Veer Naris will be adopted by the members of IWC JAMMU TAWI, in a programme being planned by NCCHWO in conjunction with Army.
The aim of adoption by citizens is to provide Morale support to the Veer Naris, by visiting them and also provide Career Counseling to their children .Many of these families are not much educated and hail from Rural areas. Guidance in various fields, including Career Counselling for their children will be beneficial. Visit of citizens to the houses of Veer Naris will help them overcome the Mental Trauma .The initiative of visit to Veer Naris by members of IWC Jammu Tawi was highly appreciated and the club was Felicitated by LG of J&K at an impressive function held at Pouni.
