RAJOURI, Jan 20: Regional Transport Authority today issued 54 route permits for different areas of the district here at its meeting chaired by District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal.
During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held with respect to the safety aspects of the commuters.
During the meeting, as many as 54 permits were issued to the selected applicants with a view to minimize overloading and road accidents.
While taking note of the road accidents happening in the district, the DDC asked the ARTO and Traffic Department to conduct special drives and take strict action against the violators.
The DDC asked the regulating authority to ensure early plying of services on the approved route permits and maintain a close check on overloading, overcharging and irregular vehicular movement. |
