Cong flags replace tricolour as “non-political” Yatra enters Kashmir
1/27/2023 11:28:45 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 27: As the Bharat Jodo Yatra entered the Kashmir Valley, the national flags were replaced with the flags of the Congress party.
Pictures shared by the Congress leaders from the Twitter handle to inform about the entry of the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Kashmir Valley are reflecting that national flags were almost disappeared and Congress workers were only carrying party flags with a hand symbol.
From January 19 when the Bharat Jodo Yatra entered Jammu province through Lakhanpur-the gateway of Jammu and Kashmir, party workers were carrying national flags with them but the system has been changed as soon as the Yatra entered Kashmir Valley.
On the one hand, Congress leaders are avoiding political questions in the press conference of the Yatra to give the impression that the Bharat Jodo Yatra is purely non-political but on the other hand party workers in Kashmir Valley are carrying only Congress flags.
Some BJP leaders observed that it was part of the agenda of the Congress party to keep appeasing anti-national forces in good humour. Already it was alleged that Congress leadership virtually “snubbed and humiliated” Choudhary Lal Singh, chairman of the Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan Party, only to keep Kashmir-centric political parties and some radical groups in good humours. These radical groups and some political parties have launched a campaign against Choudhary Lal Singh after he announced joining the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Instead of accommodating Choudhary Lal Singh, whose supporters outnumbered Congress workers at Lakhanpur to welcome Rahul Gandhi, Congress leadership preferred to allow the Awami National Conference leader on the dias.
It was an open secret that number of supporters of Choudhary Lal Singh was much bigger than Congress workers. Still, it was all due to the pressure of some radical groups in Kashmir that Congress leadership intentionally humiliated and insulted Lal Singh in the function.
