JAMMU, Oct 10: Even as the 10-day long Autumn session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly came to an end today, the fate of three Jammu based youths who jumped into the members' area of the Lower House from public gallery on October 8 demanding implementation of employment policy hangs in balance as the Speaker took no decision on their release from police custody.
The three youth activists of newly floated Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Front (JKDF) including Manish Khajuria, Sunny Malhotra and Ambedkar Gupta were overpowered by Assembly marshals and placed under arrest on the orders of the Speaker Mohammad Akbar Lone.

Jammu, Oct 10: Even as the JKPCC leadership boasted and blew his trumpet on 'consensus' having reached out at all levels within the party over the issue of strategy to be adopted for ensuing BDC polls, resentment and anger has been expressed from some quarters in not inviting or choosing deliberately absence of some important leaders in the meeting held in Jammu on Tuesday. Srinagar, Oct.10 : The Jammu and Kashmir State Assembly witnessed an uproar and noisy scenes today over the issue of providing reservation to backward classes and women in all institutions of the state, including local bodies.
Legislators shouted anti-government slogans in the well of the house after the issue of reservation for the backward classes and women came up for discussion.
The legislators from the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) raised the issue and they started shouting slogans after no heed was paid to their demand.

JAMMU, Oct 10: BSNL subscribers in J&K are definitely not a happy lot as the network coverage of India's largest communication service provider (CSP) continues to be as bad as it has always been across the state even as it has a vast network of mobile phone towers and an army of staff to deal with the issue.
"The subscriber is not reachable" is the response one often gets while calling a customer of any CSP from a BSNL number here.
