| Pro active strategy : Soz camp gains edge once again | | But resentment in leaders 'uninvited' in Jammu meeting | | early times report Jammu, Oct 10: Even as the JKPCC leadership boasted and blew his trumpet on 'consensus' having reached out at all levels within the party over the issue of strategy to be adopted for ensuing BDC polls, resentment and anger has been expressed from some quarters in not inviting or choosing deliberately absence of some important leaders in the meeting held in Jammu on Tuesday. The points have however, been 'scored well' by the JKPCC chief Prof Saif-u- Din Soz in maintaining a pro active approach in organizing series of meetings , the last one in presence of Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand . Sources said while the effort of roping in Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand in the meeting held at Jammu has given fillip and credence to the exercise initiated by JKPCC chief , the step has not augured well here in the winter capital in terms of some leaders at various district levels not having been invited to present their opinion and point of view over the crucial issue. Sources said some senior leaders and functionaries , whose role in the party has remained vital for all polls, including during the Panchayat polls feel sidelined and isolated as they were not contacted by the leadership ever since this exercise of building up consensus began , nor consulted or invited for any meeting. While the meeting held in Jammu was predominantly meant for district and block level presidents of the party , Prof Soz had earlier also made it clear that part from them, the meetings held in both the capitals would have some senior leaders and key functionaries of the party on board as invitees , particularly those who remain on the forefront of all activities for the party. Sources said while such functionaries who have senior position in the hierarchy of organizational structure were ignored from districts like Kathua , Samba, Udhampur and Rajouri, there are leaders in Jammu proper who were ignored and not invited by the leadership for this meeting. Interestingly, most of these leaders and functionaries exhibit their loyalty to Azad camp. What has further aggravated their anger and resentment is the fact that JKPCC leadership deemed it proper only to have presence of the Deputy Chief Minister , and ignored the rest of lot for this meeting. Many of them have taken strong notice of how they see it as deliberate attempt to keep them off and away. The step and exercise has however, once again given upper hand and a defined edge to the Soz camp in contrast to the Ghulam Nabi Azad camp where most of the leaders feel disappointed and disillusioned with the developments in the party lately.
