Jammu, Oct 12: Former Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) leader and hardcore separatist leader Talat Majid on Thursday observed that the so-called freedom movement in Kashmir has been replaced with narco-terrorism.
Addressing the function after joining the Apni Party, Talat Majid said that it was the gun that was claiming the lives of innocent youth of Kashmir now the gun has been replaced with narco-terrorism.

Jammu, Oct 12: All is not well in the Kargil unit of the National Conference following reports that the party will equally share four posts of executive councillors of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development (LAHDC) Kargil.
A section within the Kargil unit of the National Conference is also not happy with the decision to rotate the post of the Chief Executive Councillors with the Congress.
Highly placed sources said that a section with the National Conference suggested that instead of giving an equal share to the Congress the leadership should accommodate the coalition partner by giving only two posts of executive councillors.

JAMMU, Oct 12: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday said that the links of the Inter State narco-module busted a few days ago have been traced from North Kashmir’s Kupwara district to Ludhiana Punjab.
Police said that eight people have been arrested so far—four from Kupwara and four from Punjab while 30 kgs of cocaine, Rs 5 crore cash, 40 fake number plates of vehicles, passports and a Germany made revolver have been recovered.
