BJP's 44+ plan could be spoiled by Valley voters? | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 21: Despite its all out effort to push 44+ plan for J&K State Assembly elections 2014, the BJP might finish well short of its expected numbers because of the fact that the party might not be able to add more a seat or two from the Valley.
There is definitely a perceptible edge for the BJP in the Jammu region that sends 37 members to the 87-member State Assembly while the Valley elects 46 and the Ladakh region four members.
In the four districts of Jammu, Samba, Kathua and Reasi the BJP is expected to well during the elections and the gains for the party are likely to be direct losses for the Congress and the NC.
There are six seats in the Chenab valley region of Jammu province and it is likely the BJP which would also make some gains there that would be again at the cost of the Congress.
In the Muslim dominated districts of Doda, Kishtwar, Rajouri and Poonch the BJP is eyeing many seats those might not be fully achieved because of many reasons. The direct battle for Muslim votes would definitely give an edge to the BJP, but would the vote share po...

Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 21: In run up to the J&K polls, BJP president Amit Shah is demanding votes on four planks - corruption, misrule by two parivars (Abdullahs and the Muftis), good governance and development. These issues dominated his speeches in the yesterday's Ramban and Banihal public rallies where he surprisingly made no mention of any headway made by the NDA to bring back "black money" from the foreign banks.
While he shied away from taking any credit for the BJP's much talked about efforts to bring back black money from the foreign banks, he targeted Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, saying "he seems to have shifted all money to London where he goes and stays ...

| | Does BJP consider Kathua as part of Punjab? | | |
Early Times Report
kathua, Nov 21: Going by the inaction of the state unit of the BJP in handling the crisis in Kathua BJP and the proactive approach of the leaders of Punjab BJP, it seems that the saffron party considers Kathua Assembly constituency as part of the neighbouring state of Punjab.
Since the state BJP has so far failed to address the rebellion and did not deem it fit to open a channel of communication with the dissident group on its own, the party high command deputed several senior leaders from Punjab BJP who took charge of pacifying the dissident group of leaders from Kathua for the last two days but without reaping any fruitful dividends.
