Jammu, May 5: Pakistani hackers have launched cyber attacks on Indian defence websites, raising concerns about compromised sensitive data amid escalating tensions following the recent Pahalgam terror attack. The attacks, claimed by a group identifying as “Pakistan Cyber Force” on the micro-blogging platform X, reportedly targeted the Military Engineer Services and the Manohar Parrikar Institute of Defence Studies and Analysis, potentially exposing login credentials and other critical information about defence personnel.

Jammu, May 5: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday warned people against crossing the Chenab on foot in Jammu’s Akhnoor sector after the river recorded its lowest water discharge and attracted hundreds of villagers, some of whom were seen searching for gold and silver ornaments and coins.
The drop in water level was attributed to the river’s flow being restricted through the Baglihar and the Salal dams in Ramban and Reasi districts, officials said.

New Delhi, May 5: The CBI has arrested a deputy general manager of Oil India Limited posted in Assam’s Duliajan and a private company executive for alleged bribery of Rs 7 lakh, officials said on Monday.
Prayas Chakravorty, a deputy general manager (DGM) of Oil India Limited (OIL), had allegedly demanded the bribe from Jyoti Kumar Singh, the DGM of Noida-based United Drilling Tools Limited, for the award of certain contract in favour of the private company, they said.
