Srinagar, Sep 7: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday said he is in constant touch with Union Home Minister Amit Shah as there are several issues pending between the Union Territory and the Centre, including restoration of statehood Talking to reporters here, Abdullah also lauded the fact that Jammu and Kashmir is hosting its first international film festival. Jammu, September 7: An 85-year-old community leader arrested in connection with the Chatroo minor girl case allegedly tried to hoodwink the Crime Branch by pretending to be seriously ill and getting himself admitted to a hospital to avoid questioning by investigators. Peer Bakash, who was arrested for allegedly convening a panchayat to pressure the father of the minor victim and facilitate a settlement in favour of the accused headmaster, was reportedly admitted to a hospital soon after the Crime Branch took over the investigation. JAMMU, Sept 7: Jammu Police have arrested six members of the Khouf Gang along with pistol and sharp weapons here in Arnia area. Police said that six members of the gang were taken into custody for allegedly threatening a man at Kool Kalan by displaying a pistol and tokkas to him. "Investigation was conducted and acting swiftly on the complaint, all accused were arrested," they said and added that one pistol with magazine, three live rounds and five sharp weapons were also recovered from their possession.
