Admitting that BJP in its rule could not do anything for Sikh community Mr. Ahuluwalia assured the community that party will join their struggle. He while justifying the demands of Sikh community urged the J&K Government to implement Anand Marriage Act in J&K also, besides supporting the minority status for Sikhs with appointment of a community member as its chairman.

He said Jammu Sikhs are part and parcel of Dogra samaj and we all have to fight for our rights unitedly. "The Hindus, Sikhs, Gujjars and Muslims of Jammu face common problems and a unified action is needed to fight for our rights" he added. BJP state chief Shamsher Singh Manhas while cautioning Sikhs of vested elements assured full support to the community in settling their demands.
