Rajouri, Oct 2: Blunt violation of transfer policy framed by state government in Education Department has put the whole education system in chaos where genuine and honest teachers are facing acute hardship on account of political considerations and nepotism in the department; it was alleged by senior Peoples Democratic Party leader and Block President Tazeem Dar.
"Chief Minister Omar Abdullah having several portfolios has made Education Department a defunct body in the state particular in district Rajouri where there is gross violations of transfer policy framed by government, he said.
He further added that, ZEOs in Rajouri district are not submitting transfer proposals to adjust unadjusted teachers. On the other hand female teachers are being harassed by forced them to serve in uncomfortable areas whereas nepotism and political consideration influential of teachers with political support are given favorite adjustments and attachments within the city.
Criticizing state government Dar said that Chief Minster holding education portfolio is least concerned about the worsening condition of education department in Rajouri as large number of complaints are being received for gross irregularities in centrally sponsored schemes in education department.
Dar said that students of far flung areas are suffering badly because of non availability of teaching staff in schools. Where as rationalization of the posts of teachers and masters as per strength of the students be made with immediate effect so that schools in far flung areas may function properly .Dar said that education department in Rajouri under the leadership of Chief Minister is suffering badly and complete jungle raj is prevailing making condition from bad to worse.
Dar lambasted the state government for not providing teaching staff and infrastructure in newly upgraded high schools which is making mockery of educational system. Dar said that State govt should stop playing cheap politics for their petty political benefits.
