| VO presents challan against ex ICDS supervisor in misappropriation case | | | early times report
Jammu, Jan 11 (JNF): Vigilance organization Jammu Friday presented challan against then Supervisor ICDS Doda, Chander Kanta then Anganwari helper Kiran Devi and then Anag-anwari worker Suigwari and Usha Devi for alleged misappropriation of Rs 64987.
According to the challan during verification the VO found that no Anaganwari center was opened or ever existed in village Suigwari, Doda during 2006. It was found that Usha Devi in league with Kiran Devi hatched a conspiracy, manipulated the records prepared fake enrolment list of children and fraudulently drew ration which was subsequently misappropriated. Similarly, the rent of "so-called" anganwari center and honorarium drawn for workers/helpers was also found misappropriated.
It was also found that a fake monthly program report showing the distribution of nutrition stock (ration) to non-existent center was prepared by Usha Devi which was approved by Chander Kiran.
An amount of Rs 64987 on account of ration, rent/honorarium was fraudulently drawn and misappropriated by the accused persons, the VO said. |
