| JTC demands release of cash assistance to relief holders | | | | JAMMU, Jan 11 : Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K, have expressed grave concern over non-release of cash assistance for the month of December, 2012 in favour of the relief holders. A joint meeting of the office bearers and members of JTC and SKF, J&K held here today under the Chairmanship of B.L. Raina. While speaking in the meeting, President of JTC and Soan Kashmir Front Shadi Lal Pandita said that since the relief holders have no any other source of income as such they have been put to sufferings adding that they are facing difficulties in managing their domestic needs. He appealed the authorities for immediate release of cash assistance for the month of December, 2012. Pandita further said that a deputation had called on the Relief Commission (M) R.K. Pandita who informed that the government has been apprised of the difficulties of the migrants and have sought release of funds at an earliest to meet the relief assistance. The members have appealed the government and the authorities to restrict prolonged power curtailments in Jagti Mini Township for best interest of the inmates of this township. The members said that in case government fails to meet the demands of the migrants they shall be left with no other option but to hold peaceful protest demonstrations in front of Raj Bhawan, Jammu. |
