| Cold reuterns in Kashmir, rain expected during next 72 hours | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Mar 23 : Cold is Kashmir valley is back forcing people to take out their woollens again in the Kashmir valley, where rain could occur at many places during the next 72 hours. A Met department spokesman said rain or thundershowers could occur at many places over the state during the next 24 hours. He said there could be decrease in precipitation during subsequent two days. After witnessing above normal minimum temperature, people in the valley work up to a cloudy morning with cold winds, forcing people to wear take out woollens. The Met spokesman said the summer capital, Srinagar, recorded 9 degrees minimum temperature, five notches above normal. He said rain or thundershower would occur in Srinagar tomorrow though the maximum and minimum temperature will remain above normal. There was also considerable improvement in the minimum temperature at world famous ski resort of Gulmarg, 0.5 degrees, four degrees above normal while at health resort of Pahalgam it was 3.4 degrees, four notchs above normal. Met spokesman said light rain would occur at Leh where the minimum temperature will be minus 1 degree tomorrow against today's 2.8 degrees. |
