Jammu, Apr 3: The House today passed the Bill pertaining to the improvement and development of Golf Courses in the State. The LA Bill No. 12 of 2013 was moved by the Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs, Mir Saifullah on behalf of Minister for Tourism in the Legislative Assembly. The Bill was discussed in detail and House passed it after brief discussion with a minor amendment suggested by the Members. Mr. Nasir Aslam Wani, Mr. Aijaz Ahmed Jan, Mr. Harshdev Singh, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal and Mr. Ashwani Sharma took part in the discussion. Another Bill No. 11 of 2013 which pertains to regulation of private security agencies operating in the State was moved by the Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs, Mir Saifullah was also discussed in detail in the House. The Members suggested several changes and amendments in the Bill and insisted for referring the Bill to the Select Committee. The suggestion of the Members was agreed to by the Law Minister and the Bill was referred by the Speaker to the Select Committee which will be constituted later. Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, Mr. Aijaz Ahmed Jan, Mr. Harshdev Singh, Mr. Ashwani Sharma, Mr. G. M. Saroori, Mr. Ashok Kumar, Mr. A. G. Malik and Mr. Nasir Aslam Wani took part in the discussion. Another Bill No. 13 of 2013 was introduced in the House today. The Bill provides to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Hindu Marriage Act, 1980 and the Jammu and Kashmir Christian Marriage and Divorce Act, 1957 (III of 1957). The Bill was moved by the Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs, Mir Saifullah. |
