| Ramzan inspects ongoing development works at Handwara | | | KUPWARA : Minister for CA&PD and Transport, Ch. Mohammad Ramzan today visited Handwara and conducted inspections of Sub-District Hospital Chougul, Bye Pass road Handwara, District Court Complex, Tourist reception center and various ongoing projects. The Minister was accompanied by the District Development Commissioner, Kupwara Mr.Itrat Hussain Rafiqi , officers and engineers of various Departments during the tour.
He was informed that 20 kanals of land was purchased for construction of District Court Complex at a cost of Rs. 3.50 crore while Rs. 2.30 crore have been released for construction of Court building, the work is being started while the TRC at Handwara is nearing its completion.
The Minister also inspected the Sub District Hospital, Chougul and inquired about the facilities, medicines being provided to the patients and was informed that medicines are available in the hospital. He directed the CMO Kupwara to monitor the functioning of the hospital. The Minister also toured Bye Pass road and instructed the authorities for ensuring its early completion.
While visiting the CJM Court at Handwara, the Minister interacted with the judges and bar members and other related issues with the CJM Handwara. Several deputations met the Minister and apprised him about their demands and problems regarding irrigation facilities, water, power, transport, road projects and day to day people problems were discussed.
Later the Minister while addressing the Joint meeting of officers and public representatives said that crores of Rupees have been utilized for completion of many projects during present Government’s tenure and more is to be done during the remaining years, for this purpose he sought the cooperation of the people. |
