BANIHAL, May 18 : Minister of state for Technical Education, Power, CA&PD and Information, Mr. Vikar Rasool Wani said that Government is committed to fulfill the aspirations and developmental needs of people as it is priority of the government. He said in this regard government has already launched a comprehensive development plane to meet the needs of the people particularly living in far flung areas. The Minister was addressed a public meeting at village Lamber Gujjarnar of tehsil Banihal in Ramban district here today. While specking on the occasion, Mr. Vikar lauded the role of central government for providing liberal funding to J&K state, The Minister said that by launching of flagship schemes across the state especially in Health, education and other social sectors has strengthen the economic profile of people. Minister informed the gathering the construction of road from Lamber to Gijjarnar will start soon and the work on water supply scheme at an estimated cost 37.5 lakh is already in progress. During the occasion local representatives of Lamber, Gujjarnar village apprised the Minister about the problems of peoples of the area which includes completion of water supply scheme, upgradation of power distribution centre, link roads and upgradation of Health Sub centre to PHC at Lamber. While responding to the grievances of the gathering at Lamber Gujjarnar village, the Minister assured them that all their genuine demands would be looked into and redressed in time frame manners. Tehsildar Banihal, Dr. Usman, Dy. SP, Muzafer, TSO, Engineers, Officers of different department, Panches, Sarpan-ches and prominent citizens of the area were also present on the occasion. |
